The Visual Builder allows non-programmers to create Beyond 20/20 multi-dimensional tables (IVT’s) and microdata extract files (.IVX).  Multi-dimensional tables allows end users to navigate large data sets with relative ease.  Extract files are a great way for distributing survey data and/or large a large number of variables – offering users the ability to create the tables they are looking for from a large list of variables. 

The Visual Builder either uses a database file (.DBF) or a flat file (such as .TXT) – which may have been exported from an environment such as SAS – as its source.  The Visual Builder also supports thematic and navigational mapping via its ability to import Map Info Files (.mif) into a geographic dimension, allowing users to view relevant data through a map.

The end product produced by the Visual Builder is a Beyond 20/20 multi dimensional table (.IVT) or extract (.IVX), which can be then be viewed and manipulated over the Web (with Web Data Server) or through a desktop application (with our Professional Browser).
